Superintendent – Data Center
Schedule: 5 days on-site
Location: Texas
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join a growing team delivering a major hyperscale data center campus in Texas.
The campus is currently under construction and is part of a large-scale development with significant data center capacity and substantial future expansion potential.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day field construction activities from early construction through commissioning and turnover
- Manage and coordinate general contractors, subcontractors, trade partners and vendors
- Oversee multiple scopes and contractors simultaneously
- Coordinate electrical, mechanical, structural, civil and controls work
- Manage installation and coordination of critical MEP systems
- Review construction schedules, monitor progress and identify potential delays or critical path issues
- Drive subcontractor performance and hold teams accountable to project schedules and quality standards
- Coordinate inspections, testing, QA/QC and commissioning activities
- Participate in coordination meetings and resolve field conflicts and constructability issues
- Maintain strong safety standards across the project
- Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule and to project specifications
Qualifications
- 5+ years of mission-critical construction experience
- 4–5+ years of hyperscale data center experience strongly preferred
- Experience leading large-scale data center, semiconductor, power generation or other mission-critical projects
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and construction scopes
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and controls systems
- Experience with medium- and high-voltage infrastructure preferred
- Experience with data halls, central utility plants, underground utilities, structural and civil scopes
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling and Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software
- Experience with commissioning and turnover of mission-critical facilities
- Proven ability to lead large field teams and coordinate multiple trades
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Must be willing to work 5 days per week on-site
